Discus
As with almost all aquarists , began with me the passion for the fish already with a child.
Only with the guppies in " pickle jars " on the window sill and then gradually larger aquariums with various ornamental fish .
Now I 've become more mature over time and with age grew the challenges and experience. And so it was that we wanted to maintain the discus. After a few phone calls we had found our discus breeders in the resin.
And so our first Red Turquoise swam in the display tanks .
We proudly pulled this big and then after about one years time had come that came the first nest .
By observing the courtship and spawning behavior , we were now infected with the final discus fever.
And so came what was to come , we needed more space.
Basement clean out , renovate , electricity and water place , etc., etc. and soon our system ready. Zusehens our inventory was extensive.
Soon even Cobaldblaue discuses and various South American dwarf cichlids to come . All of these variants , we have successfully traced .
These animals have been so much fun and let us recover from our professional stress .
But then the first Asian cultivated varieties came on the market and you could not resist the temptation , and we have but quickly learned that our moments of happiness remained on the track. What we have seen with our other breeding lines . The breeding and the attitude of these fish was partially tiring and nerve-wracking , to mention just a few points : the natural behavior of the pairs was partially no longer available, very susceptible to disease , not to mention poor parental care in the pairs and the Anschwimmverhalten of juveniles throughout. As well as 1000 tricks and nerve-wracking work to successfully raise young fish . Unfortunately, we had more or less neglected the robust strains and crossed with the Asian . Since we had then issued for reasons of space our breeding lines , we had no other choice than zero . That is what old discus pioneers have worked perfectly for many years , we must eke again . Hence it was that we have specialized in tomboy discus and their offspring to rebuild a healthy colorful breeding stock .
And this we have come closer with our Red -Royal F1 a good step . The behavior of these fish is indescribable. The animals have character , of quiet but determined to spirited and tomboyish . Due to their natural instincts in courtship behavior to the rearing of juveniles , these fish leave nothing to be desired. It's fun again to watch this king of aquarium fish and to deal with them.
Meanwhile, our ornamental fish have their own house . The water volume of the breeding and comprises about 20 000 liters.
To provide a high standard of quality of a color shock, the discus breeding is a large part of the plant.
Our breeding and Hälterungsanlage spread over 4 buildings each with 3 floors. Inside are 3 large delta basin , 14 breeding cubes , 9 pools of 1.50 m length, 16 pools of 1.30 m length and several small pools .
The pools are all piped floor basis, or block manner and additionally associated with large multi-chamber filters, so as to ensure stable and optimal water values .
Currently we have , in addition to our Red -Royal F1, tomboy discus from the fishing areas : Nhamunda Red - Royal, and Nhamunda - Maracanha Royal Blue.
In the future, we will deal more intensively with these color shock.
An F1 Red Royal / Royal Blue Nhamunda Maracanha we swim at the time and this going to be great . We hope we have piqued your interest.
